German Pinscher. History: The short-haired Pinscher, also known as Miniature Pinscher, is a very ancient breed, first mentioned in 1880. It shares common ancestors with the Schnauzer which, in fact, formerly bore the name of wire-haired Pinscher. From the very beginning, the smooth-haired Pinschers, mostly black with light brown spots, differed from the rough-haired ones precisely by the short-haired coat and the color of the coat. General Appearance: The German Pinscher is a short-haired, medium-sized dog with a strong square build. It has a proud bearing, it is strong like the Schnauzer, elegant, with a harmonious silhouette.
